Hello everyone,

This week has been really fun. We were able to do some service for the Cameron Park people who were putting on fire works. We helped set up on Friday which was pretty fun then the following day we were able help take tickets. I met this really nice guy who is a firefighter. For all those that were helping he offered food and water. After he had left, Elder Pearson and I thought me must be a member by the way he treated us. Following that, through talking with him, we found out he is a member. It's just cool to see that there are a lot of people who are LDS that go out of their way to make sure people are taken care of. Especially when it come to having water at a small event like fire works.

Five months ago as a mission we were given the challenge to read the Book of Mormon marking every time that Jesus Christ speaks or his name is mentioned and any Christ-like attributes mentioned. This week I was able to finish that challenge. I prayed and asked Heavenly if the Book of Mormon is true and I am proud to say that I got my answer and I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is just so amazing that no matter how many times you read that book you can receive a spiritual witness of of its truthfulness. I hope if you have recently been able to receive that witness that you will start and ask Heavenly and renew your faith of the Book of Mormon.

Then we have a cool investigator who has a couple of old tractors that are pretty cool. They are not running but they are sure cool to look at.

Today we were able to go to Gold Bug Mine. It is an old ore mine that has been shut down for years. It's nothing too big or fancy but it was pretty cool to see how people made a living. Also, to see how difficult it was to see how miners got gems out of the ground. I know why people who work in a mine are always hunched over because you have to hunch over every time that you go into a mine. My back sure was hurting by the time I got out of there and I was not in there for very long.


The place that I am serving in is located right next to an airport. The roads next to the airport are very wide and people are able take off from the road itself because of their size.

Hi Everyone!

This week was crazy fast. We started off the week by going to this member's home where he has a train collection and got to look at all of it. He went way out on everything. He had all sorts of trains from WW2 to the type of trains that you see on the polar express. It was pretty fun. Elder Pearson is a big fan of trains so he was going all over that.

Then we were able to find the Lord's way. A street sign that showed us the way the Lord wants us to go. Now that we have that sign and the "we got a way" sign I think that we cover most of our basis. But we were able to see some really beautiful places recently as we have been driving trying to do the lords work.

Then on Saturday I got to go on exchanges with my last companion. That was super fun to be with Elder Hatch and to see all of the growth that he has had in the last two months since I have not been with him. But we went into his area where there are people few and far between and a lot more wildlife it seemed like. We did a lot of driving and it was a good change of pace but I was glad to be able to get back into my area.

Then this week we were also able to serve at a food bank. This week we were in dish duty. It was kind of slow. Not a lot of people came is so there was not a whole lot of dishes to wash which was a blessing.

Hello everyone,

Another week has come and gone. The time has flown by super fast. It's crazy to believe that I am in the 2nd transfer being up in the country of California. It is always fun being up here.

This week has flown by. Nothing seems to take its time in happening. Time never stops. But that is good. During sacrament a member of the bishopric bore his testimony and talked about in our life people weed out the big things in our life. And most times they forget to weed out the small things in our life. It was a really cool thing to be able to learn that it is so crucial to focus on the small details because it is those things that will add up to make the difference in our lives. It could be referred to as the straw that broke the camels back.

We were able to go to pollute pines and do some service for a wagon train that come through every year that celebrates all the history in he area. So that was really fun.

But this week has been a lot of getting back in touch with investigators who have been out of town. Besides church not a whole lot happened this week.

Hello,

So transfers have come and gone. I will be staying in Diamond Springs Ward with Elder Pearson. This was super exciting because we have a lot of things coming together and a lot of great things that are about to happen.

This week we had Stake Conference. Elder Gary K.Wilde of the 70 came and talked. One thing that really stood out to me was when he talked about how we need to simplify our lives. He talked about the importance of focusing on the things that really matter in life life family and friends. He challenged us all to examine our lives and see what we could do to more focus on our priorities to alone our will more with God's will. That whole conference was focused on better communication with the family and removing all distractions so that we will be able to enjoy the things that really matter in life.

Our investigator is starting to show interest and some real desire. She is starting to understand why it is so important that we read the Book of Mormon to know if it is true.

But not a whole lot else happened this week. I hope that you all have a great week
